For this project we were each asked to find a non profit organization dedicated to a cause of our choice and create a psa detailing the call to action and what the viewer can do to show support.
When I learned about the issues involving the Line 3 Pipeline in Minnesota and what native communities have undergone due to the careless exploitation of the Earth I felt a duty to help spread that voice.
They believe The Prophecy of the Seven Fires details major events that will shape the course of the lives within the community. Throughout history each event has come to pass and they believe we are in the time of the seventh fire and this pipeline will lead to the destruction of sacred land, primary farmland and bodies of water. After I finished the project I found an email on their website and sent them the file as a donation to the cause in an effort to help get the word out and they posted it a short while later.
